Contessa 32 for sale

Boat Details

This Contessa 32 - Checkmate, is offered for sale after a substantial refit and upgrade by J. Rogers in 2008. New mast in 2015 and Hull stripped and re-coated in 2024

The Contessa 32 was first introduced in 1973, designed by David Sadler for build by Jeremy Rogers. When J. Rogers ceased production, M. J. Slack Yachts took over production and were lauded for their high fit out and quality of the joinery.

Checkmate sports the sail no CO906, moulded in 1989 and certificated by the Class association on the 6th July 1990 for the first owner.

The second and current owner purchased her in 1998 and has enjoyed her fully, cruising the Solent and South Coast. Never raced in current ownership.

The Contessa 32 is a design that strikes a balance between speed, seagoing ability and accommodation. This longstanding endurance of the model is testament to its design and robust build quality.
