Hull, Deck & Keel

Elan uses modern construction methods by infusing the hull's outer multi-axial laminate with vinylester resin for enhanced protection and with isophthalic polyester resin on the inner layers.

The hull is solid GRP below the waterline while the topsides and deck are PVC foam cored. The hull is built to Germanischer Lloyd specifications.

 The cockpit features a central consol table with strong handholds and a compass binnacle. Teak cockpit sole and seats.

Bathing platform with teak and boarding ladder.

Twin wheels mounted in the aft cockpit provide clear visibility either side and of the sails when sailing.

2 x Cockpit lockers plus Stern lockers for warps and fenders.

The foredeck is well laid out with twin anchor rollers leading to a deep locker and recessed electric windlass.

Stainless steel Pulpit and pushpit. Double guardrails.

Grab handrails.

The keel is cast iron with flared bulb incorporated in the foil shape with stainless steel keel bolts.

The rudder is a semi balanced foil

Interior & Accommodation

The interior is spacious, bright and simple. The quality of the materials and joinery is good and executed in an understated and pleasant way.


  • The main saloon has a huge folding table, with generous 'U' seating  to port and settee opposite to starboard.  

  • Upholstery throughout in tasteful and acceptable blue.

  • Saloon table makes in to a bunk.

  • Ample lockers and storage behind the seats.


  • The galley is raised for panoramic views. It has a 3 burner stove, deep double sinks, Fridge freezer, well fiddled counter space and ample stowage.
