This Factory completed HUNTER CHANNEL 31 is recognised as one of the best, CE Category A (Ocean). yacht from the internationally respected designer David Thomas.
The HUNTER CHANNEL 31 offers Spacious accommodation with comfortable berths, generous stowage, good sized heads/shower and roomy saloon.

The HUNTER CHANNEL is an ideal offshore family cruiser with capability for longer distance passage making and easy to sail if short handed. Stack-pack system to mainsail and all control lines lead aft. Much modified for short handed sailing.

 

Construction

Single skin GRP hull and deck with Cast Iron Fin keel. Hull and Deck laminated to create monocoque structure. Hulls are a solid laminate, laid up by hand and stiffened by foam filled frames, stringers and robust floors in way of the keel. Bulkheads are laminated in place.

The deck is a solid laminate, padded out with coremat and reinforced deck beams. Furniture bases are plywood, laminated to the hull to further strengthen the structure. The heads unit, engine tray and Galley are built on one internal moulding glassed to the hull, thus restricting, drips, dirt and water to easy wipe clean areas. Semi balanced spade rudder. This boat was sold by this broker when new to the previous owner and to the current owner. Epoxied from new.

Never raced, just cruised in an area bounded by the Scillies, Lorient and Marstrand.

The last two years the boat has been laid up ashore in a shed between mid-August and Mid-May.

Hull and Keel are coppercoated.

Rig lifted out in 2009, inspected, Standing Rigging replaced on 2009/10. Running rigging as and when.
