In reality Michael Schmidt & Partner at Hamble Point Marina provides an all year round boat show and we endeavour to man it 7 days a week.

Michael Schmidt opened his first Brokerage office 25 years ago in Hamburg. This grew to become Germany’s pre-eminent Yacht Brokerage, a position it still holds today.

This Brokerage accompanied his successful boatyard Yachtwerft Wedel which is best known for the many famous racing yachts which dominated the Admirals Cup scene in the 1980’s. Boats such as ‘Dusselboot’, ‘Outsider’, ‘Rubin’, ‘Pinta’ & ‘Container’. Not only did Michael helm his business to success but also ‘Rubin’ when Germany achieved the Admiral Cup.

His Brokerage offices grew to create a network of spreading across Europe and in 1992 he took over the Westerly Yachts Brokerage and created the UK Michael Schmidt  Brokerage office.

Because of our Network facilities and position within the Marine industry we are able to liaise with numerous in house offices and other brokers to not only sell your boat but source a new boat for those looking to purchase.
